At Growth Story Capital, we strongly value diversity of thoughts and backgrounds. Our core team is designed to provide the hands-on support that our portfolio companies need during their next stage of growth.
Further, we have assembled a highly engaged advisory board that can add significant value in various areas such as strategy development, leadership, value creation, and network expansion. Let us introduce you to the Growth Story team.
My wife and I moved to Queensland as unbiased outsiders in 2018. The first thing we learnt here was the exceptional quality of life, arguably one of the best places globally. However, this is not translated in representative local availability of private capital to promising mid-market companies, and that made no sense to me.
We want to be part of that change and help great SEQ companies achieve their full potential. When I'm not at Growth Story Capital, my wife and I continue our exploration of Australia, or enjoy some downtime with our dog Bella within our 'golden triangle' of Burleigh, North Stradbroke Island and Noosa.
Born and raised in Germany, I moved to Bundaberg, Queensland for a study abroad semester in high school. Over 20 years later, I am still in Australia and currently based in Sydney. I have had the privilege of working for and with many fantastic companies in a range of industries and thrive on passing my knowledge and experience on to people and organisations. Currently acting as CEO of our second portfolio company, MVM Coolabah, I enjoy getting hands on in unlocking value for our investors.
When I'm not working, I try to spend time with my kids, travel Australia and the world, and play golf.
Having been raised in Brisbane, I thrive on the unique stories behind small businesses. With a decade of experience in the mid-market and founder-led sectors, I bring a passion for collaborating with management teams and founders to unlock their full potential. As a Chartered Accountant, I’m detail-oriented and love diving into tasks, solving complex problems, and finding the best path forward.
When I’m not at Growth Story Capital, you’ll find me enjoying a pale ale catching up with friends, jetting off on last-minute trips to explore more of the world, or flying around South-East Queensland as I work towards finishing my pilot’s license.
Born and raised on the Gold Coast, I have been lucky enough to experience the many lifestyle and commercial benefits that South East Queensland offers. Throughout my time in consulting and M&A specifically, I have had the opportunity to work with and discover an abundance of high-quality local businesses seeking not just capital, but also external expertise and support from a trusted source. With my passion for promoting efficiencies and working with people to grow, I am excited to partner with great organisations to achieve outstanding outcomes.
Outside of Growth Story Capital, you can find me looking for the best spots to grab a bite to eat or an afternoon refreshment along South East Queensland’s pristine coastline.
